Where Inspiration Meets Precision
1. A Design Inspired by the Journey
To reach Key West, you have to travel along a road that feels like it’s floating—a long, slender ribbon of highway stretching across the turquoise sea. This drive was the muse for my latest creation: The Key West Bag.
The defining feature of this piece is its shoulder strap. Long, lean, and elegant, it mirrors that endless coastal road. I wanted the bag to carry that same sense of freedom and movement, turning a functional component into a tribute to one of the most beautiful drives in the world.
2. The Power of a Millimeter
In leather crafting, beauty is found in the smallest details. Finding the "perfect" strap width for the Key West Bag was a journey of its own.
I spent weeks creating multiple samples, obsessing over the proportions. A few millimeters might seem insignificant to some, but in design, they change the entire silhouette and "vibe" of the bag. When I finally found the exact width that balanced the bag’s body with the elegance of the long strap, it was a moment of pure joy. It’s not just a strap; it’s the final touch that makes the proportions sing.
3. The Material: Why German Togo Leather?
For a design this intentional, the material had to be world-class. My work primarily features German Togo and Noblessa leathers, but for the Key West Bag, Togo was the clear winner.
German Togo leather is renowned for its beautiful pebbled grain and incredible durability. It has a natural weight and "slouch" that feels both relaxed and incredibly sophisticated. While the leather itself is a statement of luxury, it truly shines when paired with a custom-designed silhouette. The result is a bag that doesn't just look premium—it feels like a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
